Fast, Free Intake Evaluation
Scott Fortune and the team of dedicated professionals at Fortune Law Offices are pleased to offer you a fast, free evaluation of your completed intake questionnaire.
Clicking on the "Schedule a Meeting" link to your left will give you access to our secure online intake form.
The form will provide you with the opportunity to tell us the key facts of your situation.
Scott has developed the form after meeting with thousands of employees since 1985, and the more thorough and complete you are in filling it out, the more helpful it is to Scott as he evaluates your case.
There is absolutely no charge for this initial evaluation, which Scott personally performs.
If, based on the facts you provide, Scott believes we can help you with your case, we will promptly contact you and provide you the opportunity to schedule an initial consultation.
The initial consultation fee will be discussed during the scheduling process.
Board Certified by the Florida Bar
Scott is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in the area of Labor and Employment Law.
Less than 5% of Florida attorneys are Board Certified in their respective areas of the law.
For nearly three decades, Scott has worked to help hundreds of men and women with their work-related problems.
His clients have included CEOs, top Human Resources management, and other officer-level executives, professionals, managers and employees from every level in the organization.
Scott has helped his clients resolve contract disputes, reach agreement on severance and non-compete issues, and has guided them through virtually every other type of employment issue there is.
Scott enjoys helping CEOs, managers, supervisors, salespeople, professionals and other employees overcome their problems at work, ranging from serious disputes with co-workers or superiors, to unlawful discrimination.
For nearly thirty years, Scott has been fighting for employees who have been illegally terminated due to serious illness of themselves or a covered dependent, or due to the medical leave associated with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), or absences associated with Florida's workers' compensation laws, or time missed from work due to serious disabilities covered by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or the Florida Civil Rights Act (FCRA).
Scott also has assisted hundreds of clients who have suffered discrimination based on age, disability, gender and medical issues, as well as discrimination based on the cost of health expenses, short-term or long-term disability issues, or due to other expenses incurred by the employer.
Since 1985, Scott has helped hundreds of other victims of employment discrimination resolve their cases, most often without the necessity of trial.
In 1986, Scott obtained the first reported multi-million dollar jury verdict ($3.3 million) in the United States on behalf of a single employment discrimination victim in Vance v. Southern
Bell Tel. & Tel. Co., which went to trial here in Jacksonville, in federal court.
More recently, during the past few years, Scott and his staff have made recoveries totaling several million dollars on behalf of his clients.
Scott usually represents no more than 10 individuals at a time to ensure that he can be personally involved in every case.
Naturally, there is no guarantee that Scott or his firm can make any specific recovery in any particular case.
Each case must be evaluated based on its own unique facts and circumstances.
